Local ministry background:
Ivona became a believer while she was studying in the medical high school. It was also at that time that she experienced God’s calling to children’s ministry. She is an active member of the Silesian Evangelical Church of Augsburg Confession (SCEAV) in her home town. She is involved in leading the Sunday school for children and preparing camps and events for children.

Under the auspices of her home congregation, she teaches religion and Christian education in elementary and nursery schools. Programs are conducted in the form of regular weekly meetings within a club or optional Christian Education class, which children always properly register for at the beginning of the school year.

The main focus of the regular meetings is talking over a Bible story, prayer, and songs. The lesson is always accompanied by games and competitions where the children can playfully review and experience the biblical truths discussed earlier.
The goal of the programs is to show children that they can come to God at any time and with anything and that God loves them. Ivona also motivates the children to want to apply what they hear in the lessons to their own personal lives.
In 2022, programs were held in 20 groups of children in almost every elementary and nursery school in Ivona’s home town and surroundings. A total of 180 children were involved in the groups.

Following the classes, Ivona co-organizes a wide range of Christian activities and programs for children under the auspices of the local church SCEAV where she is a member: e.g. residential and suburban camps, weekend events for youth, sports, music and creative clubs, etc.
